Prevent
Repetitive Strain Injuries like Carpal Tunnel Syndrome, Guyon's
Syndrome, Tendonitis, Cubital Tunnel and Trigger Finger by
implementing FLEXTEND® into corporate, clinical and home-therapy
training/exercise programs.
Repetitive
Strain Injuries are rising at epidemic levels, and by paying
close attention to hand positions, along with the daily use
of FLEXTEND®, the chances of becoming afflicted with an
injury is greatly reduced!
| To
Decrease Onset of Injury, Avoid the Following Hand / Wrist
Positions: |
Work-Related
Repetitive Strain Injuries Result from Work Patterns that
Include the Folloowing: |
•
Fixed or constrained body positions in extreme flexion or
extension.
• Repetitive (i.e. Typing) and/or static flexion (Non-moving
flexion of the hand/wrist such as constantly gripping a steering
wheel.)
This
overuse of the flexor muscle group in a unidirectional motion
causes a strength imbalance between the muscles that “open”
and “close” the hands.
• Force concentrated on small parts of the body, such
as the hand or wrist
• A workplace that does not provide corrective measures
such as FLEXTEND® in order to prevent these forms of avoidable
injuries. Many corporations make FLEXTEND® a part of the
employee’s “job description” in that they
have to utilize FLEXTEND® on a daily basis. Corporations
have saved tens of thousands of dollars in a matter of weeks
due to the implementation of FLEXTEND® as a part of their
corporate health and safety programs.
